It's no secret if children come from poor families are more prone to suffer from the disease in adulthood. Not a few literature that states the children from families with low economic status more often suffer from flu and heart disease.
Children who come from low educated parents are also more prone to develop metabolic sindom, a collection of symptoms of chronic diseases, such as hypertension, high blood sugar, and fat belly.
Nevertheless, the impact of economic constraints to health that could be resisted if the children had mothers who nurture caring.
In a study by a team from the University of British Columbia, psychologists Gregory Miller analyzed data on 1,200 adults who his childhood came from poor families. The researchers then conducted a survey on the respondents to determine levels of their mother's attention.
The researchers found, even from poor families but children who are raised by mothers who give full attention to the emotional needs of children and have a strong bond with her child, will grow into healthy children.
In a report published in the journal Psychological Science, the researchers said stress affects children's growth and permanently affect the ability of the child's body fight infection.
Because the mother was a caring and nurturing their children well will improve child health in the future. "The risk of disease faced by children from poor families could be reduced if parents pay attention to the development of the child," Miller said.
Miller suggests, to grow healthy children, parents and teachers in schools should be taught how to control stress, provides a good example in managing emotions and give a sense of security in children.
